This is Jassica Nasir, reporting on the multiple oil leaks/spills in Alberta from the years of 2011-2014, the oil leakage/spills comes from oil companies from around the areas. The oil leaks/spills caused a lot of harm to the environment, animals and ruined the river systems.
Little buffalo, red deer river, elk point, slave lake and red earth creek are some of the biggest oil spills in Alberta, the companies that caused these leaks caused so much harm in the environment. Oil spills are harmful to marine birds and mammals as well as fish and as well as plants that live in the rivers that the oil spilled into or around it. Oil spills are dangerous and harmful to our environment, the oil companies should be aware of the harm oil spills can cause to our ecosystem and should try to contain the oil and recycle them properly.

How does Canada contributes to the greenhouse effect and climate change? first lets find out what greenhouse effect is, it is when the suns warmth gets trapped in the planets lower atmosphere. Now lets discuss how Canada contribute to greenhouse effect and climate change, Canada creates a lot of greenhouses because of live stock, how you may wonder? its because of cows, when cows release gas they release a methane that contributes to the greenhouse effect.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! People celebrating Christmas all over the world, with that being said Christmas has many different ways to celebrate it as well. lets talk about Philippines. The Giant Lantern Festival is taking place every year, on a Saturday before Christmas Eve. Originally, the lanterns were simple creations and lit by candle. Today, all the lanterns are made from many materials and have been made to be bigger, They are lit up by electric bulbs that sparkle in a kaleidoscope of patterns.

As humans it is our job and responsibility to take care of our environment, but lately that hasn't been happening. there is so much plastic in the ocean and it is not only effecting the ocean its also effecting our whole earth. all of the plastic in the ocean is causing a lot of ocean life to die. i feel that as humans we need to take a stand and start taking care of our earth!
The glaciers are melting because of global warming. Because of how much the earth is warming its causing the glaciers to melt and increasing the sea levels and also creating less place for the animals that live there to have shelters. Lets say that all the glaciers melt, what would happen? if all the glaciers melt the sea levels would rise massively, flooding every coastal city. There is not many ways to to reduce the glaciers from melting but... we can stop littering and wasting a lot of gasses and stop polluting the earth. it might not do much but lets save the earth! I think that public transportation is a great thing for everyone! public transit can be helpful to all people for a low price, not only is it a low price but it can also reduce air pollution. A lot of people cannot afford cars because cars are really expensive, so public transit may be the best choice. public transportation can also be a really easy way to get into the city. lets say (for example) you have a job right in the middle of the city, and theirs so much traffic! well... public transit my come in handy. the go trains and street cars are essential for this type of problem and can easily, safely and get to your location much faster. the more people that use public transportation, means more people use there cars less which concludes to less air pollution, and these days theirs a lot of pollution. so that wraps up my thoughts on how i feel about public transportation!
When it comes to city building, what are your thoughts on the concept of a "Human Scale"? Is our 'modern' urban planning better than the ancient way?
